Frequently Asked Questions

As a women, how do I get toned and not look bulky?

As a woman, the important thing is to focus on building muscle, which will make you look ‘toned’. Also as a woman, you will only get bulky if that is your focus and intention. Even then, it is very difficult to do, as women do not have the ‘anatomy’ to achieve that unless there are specific hormones taken that men typically have more of, such as testosterone.

What qualifications do Over 50's Health Coaches and Trainers have?

Working with the Over 50’s Health Team is one of the best decisions you can make when it comes to your health and strength.

Our Team consists of:

Jan Roesch: A Powerlifter who has multiple Australian Records, Oceania Records, and World Records. Jan is a National Coach who is accredited as a Level 1 Powerlifting Coach with the NCAS, she is also a Competitor with Powerlifting Australia and an International Referee with World Powerlifting.

Neta Schutze: Is a qualified Personal Trainer, a Powerlifter and competes in Strongman events.

Danny Ioane: Is a qualified Personal Trainer, Body Builder, and Powerlifter.

Renee Bailey: Is an amazing Clinical Nutritionist who will guide you along the way to good health through nutrition.

How often should I Strength Train ?

To get the best results from your Strength Training, we recommend 2 to 3 times each week. Make sure you get enough rest in between as well as focussing on getting enough good, healthy, delicious, nutritious food in, prioritising protein!
