Strength Training

1-2-1 Strength Training

Strength Training Programs!

With our Strength Training Programs, we conduct an assessment that helps us understand your beginning condition, strength, whether you have existing injuries etc. We focus on techniques for safe movement patterns while increasing your strength. You will notice your body composition change and improve, as well as your confidence and strength.
These are 1-2-1 sessions, or they can be semi-private couple sessions. You can train as many times as you like each week and we can create a training program for you to work to as well that uses our app. You will use the app to track your sessions and progress. 

Small Group Strength Programs

Get Strong Together!

In this weekly Group Strength Program, we focus on techniques for safe movement patterns, while increasing your strength. You will notice your body composition change and improve, as well as your confidence and strength.
We have up to 6 people in each group. You will train 2 times per week for 45 minutes.

Boxing Training

1-2-1 Boxing Training, or Small Group Boxing

Boxing Programs!

We have group boxing sessions as well as 1-2-1 boxing sessions.

Our group sessions allow up to 20 per group and run for 45 minutes.

Powerlifting Training!

Want to train in the sport of Powerlifting? Train with multiple Australian Record, Oceania Record, and World Record Holder, Jan Roesch.
Jan is a competitor as well as a National Coach with Powerlifting Australia, and is also an International Referee with World Powerlifting.

Online Training Programs.

Here are simplified, online training programs for people who are planning to do their workouts at home and can even be done without weights.
There are various options available from Beginner to Intermediate and so on.
The programs are in 4-week phases, some over 8 weeks, some more. At the end of the program, we will assess your progress and adjust for the next program. You will be using our App to track your sessions and progress.
You even have payment options available where you can Pay Weekly or Pay Upfront and Save!

Jan is truly an inspiration and a motivator; she doesn’t let age be a barrier to your ability or goals.  Working with Jan you not only learn the correct techniques to power lifting and training, but also how to prepare your body.  As we all start getting older we find we have more “niggles” and these can often be a physical as well as a mental hurdle.  I would often get pain through the back and across the front of my knee – this led to me cutting down my leg exercises as I was worried I would aggravate the injury and it would interfere with my sport of dragon boating.  Jan taught me how to do activations (which are completely different to stretching) before exercises, which essentially is waking up your muscles ready for training.  Since doing these activations the pain through my knee has ceased – the activations have allowed me to increase my leg training thus strengthening my glutes, hamstrings and lower back which were indirectly the cause of my knee pain.  Using Jan’s techniques you are also lifting correctly avoiding any potential for injury which is very important when you start lifting heavier weights.  I have since increased my weights massively since working with Jan.

Whilst all this sounds very serious, working with Jan is heaps of fun.  She is able to make a personal connection with each of her clients and importantly she listens.  You will often hear laughter coming from her corner which is a testament at how she puts her clients at ease in an often confronting environment if you are not used to a gym.

I would suggest you pop down to Dolphins Fitness and watch Jan train – she definitely practices what she preaches and is a shining example of what you can achieve when you have the right preparation, techniques and motivation.
